I'm just a guy in the world, and this is my website. I enjoy programming, writing, telling stories, taking pictures, watching films, talking with friends, a strong cup of coffee and a good book, evening meals, winter mornings, lazy summer afternoons, a cosy corner in the garden, wine, women, and song. Among other things!
I work with the Web, which puts bread and cheese on the table. I like to hack in my spare time, and have been involved with a number of community software projects, including GNU, Debian, and the ASF. I've written for O'Reilly and have a book about CouchDB. I also have a blog, which isn't about much of anything, really.
If you'd like to chat to me, you should send me an email. Most of my email is quite boring, so I enjoy getting personal ones to respond to! You could also drop by my IRC channel for a while. I'm usually spouting nonsense in there, and you're warmly invited to do the same. However, any berkish behaviour will be met with frowny faces.
